Abstract

Рад се бави питањем да ли блискоисточна политика одражава тренутно преуређење света. Да би одговорио на ово питање, аутор критикује постојеће теорије међународних односа и предлаже приступ заснован на философији историје како би објаснио улогу актера, односно владајућих елита, као оних који претежно обликују међународне односе, а тиме и промене у међународном поретку. Аутор полази од претпоставке да су Кина и Русија покушале да очувају међународни поредак прилагођавајући га мултилатералном управљању. Он тврди да у томе нису успеле у макрорегиону Блиског истока, услед израелско-америчких ратова у том делу света. У раду је истражена тврдња да ли је овај регион један од геополитичких „монитора” света. Приказују се промене од успостављања униполарног тренутка управо у овом делу света, па све до опадања америчке превласти и неуспеха савеза Вашингтон-Јерусалим да победи у рату против Ирана. Аутор на крају изводи закључке о будућем облику светског поретка и судбини западног савезништва.
